Hey there. First off, I'd like to have a little disclaimer: I'm not really as rigid and dry as my profile makes me sound. It's just hard to show character and wit without someone to bounce off of.

I'm proud of being a Texan, of what my state has stood for since it's foundation. I have an insatiable curiosity. I HAVE to find out as much as I can about whatever interests me. In short, I want to know it all! I love a good conversation, and am prone towards the deeper end of the topic-spectrum. I don't care for small talk, though I thoroughly enjoy light banter if it's witty. I'm quite honest because lying takes too much work to keep up. I am a firm believer in self-determination and my political and moral views reflect that. I love the outdoors and will take any chance I get to go to the Hill Country and the beach. I LOVE music. I'm always looking for new and unique sounds. My long term goal is to buy some land and build a house from modified insulated shipping containers, and have a wind and solar energy collection system.

I'm kind of a homebody, with all my interests to keep me busy, but I enjoy hanging out with friends and getting rowdy when I'm not in "hermit mode". I enjoy a good party or night out when I've got the right people around me, though it's been pretty low-key for me lately. I love to tell stories, laugh and make others laugh, dish out and take sarcastic remarks, and generally have a good time. I'm quite wanting, though, for someone to share my interest in the odd, abstract, and archaic. Hence, this profile.

I pride myself on my physical condition as well, and I like being active. My goal is to maintain a fit body and be ready for any sort of physical demands that I might find myself faced with. I believe it's my responsibility to protect myself and my loved ones in an emergency, and I prepare accordingly.

I'd say I have a spiritual side, but it's tempered with my critical nature. I'm never content to decide on a certain viewpoint, feeling that one learns and evolves throughout their entire life, and NO ONE knows what's beyond the veil of consciousness. Lately, I've been taking a closer look at the early Abrahamic religions and trying to sift through to the basic principles, without all the fluff and crap added over the years.

I love playing soccer, I actually usually play on 2-3 indoor teams in Addison. Any sport is fun for me to play, I'm very into being active. I also enjoy going to the gym to relax and get out frustrations as well. I do like to party too, I've very social and have many friends but am always up for making more! After a game sometimes there is nothing better than an ice cold beer.

I do like my quiet times too, though. I enjoy staying home some nights and cooking a meal and then sitting back to watch a movie. Sometimes you just need those nights to sit back in the backyard an relax.

I am about to start a sales job at a construction company and then I plan on get a masters and perhaps a degree in chemistry and also engineering. I love learning and will probably continue taking classes till the day I die haha. Don't think I'm a bookworm though, I can party with the best of them.

I work in a bit of an odd way. I absorb the world around me, mostly passively and subconsciously, and then spit it back out when randomly inspired. When I grow up I want to be ... That's only slightly silly since life 3 started 12 years ago when I graduated from college and joined the real world as a finance guy. So now I find myself with lots of energy, a little free time and many things to do around this fair city. These are some of the things I like (apart from obviously loving my Children and Granddaughter); touching and kissing and cuddling, holding hands in public, being friends with my lover, snuggling, conversation, cooking at home, (I am a good, but not very adventurous cook) eating out, good wine, cellar temperature beer, coffee, writing, watching theater, visiting museums, listening to classic rock and classical music, travelling, learning, reading, cycling, cats, waking up in the morning listening to NPR, Carr's water crackers, cheese, (Ah Cheese) Crepes Suzette, Antipasto and Fillet Mignon, books on tape while driving, coffee, NASCAR, Formula 1, warm houses, sleeping in the nude and sports cars with the top down and flying small planes.

Perhaps equally as important is that I am liberal by nature (I believe passionately in finding ways to halt global warming, and want to leave this planet a better place for my children) but am also a strong believer in capitalism and the need for business to make a profit. In addition I am irreligious and dislike smoking very much. I like my work, and work long hours, and regularly take additional training classes but I don't think anyone would class me as an intellectual, if anything they would say I was absent minded.

I love the 80's and the beach, rollerblading,food, and being outdoors. I have a gift to read people very well and its a GREAT thing (most of the time). I was and still am fortunate enough to be able to travel a lot. I do it for a living, as a truck driver, but for fun and spiritual reasons too. I was twice in Tokyo, Japan, totaling a little over six weeks. I went there because I wanted to further my skills in a traditional Japanese martial art called Ninjutsu, the Bunjinkan Ninjutsu schools, to be precise, and was fortunate enough to obtain the black belt from a Japanese grand master, meet and train a little with Sensei Hatsumi himself. All these may very well mean nothing to you and you may have little idea of what I am talking about, but to me these facts mean a lot, because I was able to fulfill one, two, three or four major dreams and goals I had for me and my life, depending on how I count.

As for who I am, perhaps telling you what I am thinking my schedule will look like after the first of the year when everything settles down from the holidays. On Monday's or Tuesdays I plan on having a board game night with some friends from work and friends from college.

On Wednesdays or Thursdays we are planning on having a bar night. I like those nights best because the bar is never too crowded or too loud. I enjoy having a conversation with my beer.

On Fridays and Saturday evenings I play Warhammer 40k, RPG's and CCG's with some friends at a FLGS. This is of course barring the occasional out of town trip to Austin, New Orleans, or anywhere else that someone has a reason to go visit.

For my self I graduated college in 2007 from Sam Houston State University and now work as a computer programmer for an insurance company. I one day would like to become a database administrator. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

Something I enjoy doing is traveling. I have been to many places and would like to revisit some and visit new places.
